1. Who we are

Egxyz ("we," "us," "our") is a web-based business management tool for freelancers, solopreneurs, and independent project managers, accessible at egxyz.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect data in two ways: what you give us directly, and what is collected automatically when you use the app.

Data you provide:

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up
• Business data you enter — projects, tasks, milestones, invoices, client contacts, time logs, pipeline entries, tax and rate inputs
• Profile settings — currency, billing preferences, display name

Data collected automatically:

• Authentication logs — when you sign in or out (via Supabase Auth)
• Basic usage data — which features you use, so we can improve the product
• Device and browser type — for diagnosing technical issues

We do not collect payment card details. Egxyz is currently free and processes no payments.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the Egxyz app and its features
• Send transactional emails — account confirmation, password reset, important product notices
• Improve the product based on how features are used (aggregated, not individual profiling)
• Respond to support requests you send us

We do not use your data to serve you ads, sell it to third parties, or use it to train any AI or machine learning models.

4. How we store and protect your data

Egxyz is built on Supabase, which provides our database, authentication, and file storage. All data is stored with row-level security — meaning your account data is logically isolated and cannot be accessed by other users.

Data is stored on servers in the United States. Supabase encrypts data in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.

We work with a small number of service providers to operate Egxyz:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (privacy policy)
• Vercel — web hosting and CDN (privacy policy)
• Google — if you use "Sign in with Google," Google handles authentication (privacy policy)

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users, but we will notify you when legally permitted to do so.

If you invite collaborators to a project, they will see the data you share with them (tasks, files, notes) — but not your invoices, pipeline, financial overview, or rate and tax data.

6. Cookies and tracking

Egxyz uses minimal cookies, primarily for authentication sessions (keeping you logged in). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

We may use local storage in your browser to save your preferences and app state. This data stays on your device.

7. Your controls

Update your details — you can edit your name, email, and business information at any time from within the app under My Details.

Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app (My Details → Danger Zone). Everything is removed immediately. If you run into any issues, email farrell.alfin@gmail.com and we will handle it manually.

8. Children's privacy

Egxyz is not intended for use by anyone under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Egxyz evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
